This is, sadly, unbeta'd, even though arlisshas kindly offered to beta for me, because I'm a slow poke and would like to get at least one part of this story done in time for the challenge it was written for.  Any subsequent parts will be beta'd.

This was written for the for the April humor challenge over at copsandhunters, for the prompt "Zombies, zombies, everywhere." I kind of think that I've failed with this, firstly because it's not done yet, and secondly, because it's not actually that funny.  Mildly screwed up maybe, but not actually that funny.

There is no town named "Mishap" in Garret County, Maryland.  There is, however, a town named "Accident."  It has nothing to do with this story.

I'm not sure whether Bela would actually do something this terrible, but hey, just go with it.

Okay, so, I have a few story idea floating around in my head, and I'm not sure which one I'm going to tackle next.  Why don't you all check these out and let me know which one you want to see next?  Or, you can prompt me if you have an idea, no promises that I'll write it, but hey, if you have an idea and I like it...

Ug, my stupid Zombies story for the copsandhunters April challenge isn't going to be done on time, which makes me really sad.  I'm just having trouble with it, mainly with making it actually funny, instead of, you know, horrifying.  And gross.  I guess because I'm working on a story for the BT Virtual Season and it's really angsty and horrifying.  Sometimes I find that if I'm working on two different stories at once, I work faster overall, because if I get stuck on one, I just switch to the other for a while and it somehow helps.  Except, apparently, when I'm trying to go from comedy to drama and back again.

Also, it's turning out way longer that I wanted.  I was thinking 2000 words, MAX.  Yeah, that limit's been blown all to hell.  Guh, I'll probably just post it in segments.  Maybe I'll take part of what I've finished and post it tonight.

AN: It's done!   ...except not really, because I have at least two planned sequels, a short, really silly, one that takes place during this story and deals with zombies, and longer one that deals with vampires (it involves Bobby, explosives, sniper rifles, and will be called "Piranhas in a Barrel").  I'm not certain what, exactly,  I'm going to write next.  At some point I'm going to make an LJ entry where people can vote on what I'll write next, so keep an eye out for it.

This was admittedly, somewhat late in coming.  I dropped a 35 pound weight on one of my fingers at the gym, and typing wasn't much fun for a while there.

In other news, I suck at responding to comments.  I really do appreciate them, and I keep meaning to respond, I just keep getting distracted.  I resolve to do better from here on end (and to try and respond to some of the old ones).
